The Most BORING World Cup Finals

Think it was a good idea for me to have a nap before waking up for the match.. When I woke up, Kevin was already here, playing with Martin Atomic Bomberman. Haha woke up at round 1.10am, so went with pappy to go buy snacks...

Well, first time in my life that I ventured out at this weird time at night to go buy food. R.K was rather bustling. Still selling lots of prata here and there. Got 2 qusong for pappy.

Then suay ah, Macs was not open 24 hours today, so we had to drive all the way to the outlet at S'goon Central to go buy fries and nuggets. Then I forgot to ask for curry sauce to go with the nuggets. Haiz so blur...

Luckily by the time I got home, the match was just about to start, so we laid the table and started munching our stuff. Obviously, we bought too little, cuz we finished eating everything 10 mins into the game. Haha...

So ok on to the game itself. Henry went down at around the 8th min I think. Thot he would be out for good, like Owen. But he got in as quickly as he got out!!! Amazing, but true!!! Quite amusing to me actually.

Then got France scored the first goal within the first 10 min. But guess their defence rather sucky, cuz Italy equalised within the next 10 min. After that, it just got more and more boring lor. We could see that France players Henry and Ribudy were desparately trying to score on the Italian side, but 2 French VS 6 Italians+ a damn good goalkeeper => quite impossible to score! Haiz very sian lor. I was hoping someone would score the next goal, so that we wouldn't have to go into extra time and waste more time waiting for goals. Aiyah then the score had to stay as it was throughout the whole game, including extra time. Wah SBS AH!!! Think we dosed off through the extra time bit, waiting for penalty shoot-out to commence.

Then I guess Zidane did what was perhaps the most silly thing he could ever do in the last few minutes of his very last game. He had to get himself sent out of the game, because he couldn't control himself and header an Italian right at the chest. Gosh it must have hurt. You could see the shock on the other Italian players. Like what the toot lah, suddenly go and header someone like that. Quite un-sportsman like. Then the commentators were like criticising Zidane about how foolish he was to end his career with this form of humiliation. Haiz wonder what in the world he was doing. Ah hah... Now the penalty!!! France missed one, because the ball hit the top of the goal post and bounced to the ground just before the line; it never entered the goal region. Suay ah!!! Think that guy trying to imitate Zidane in the 1st goal, where Zidane's ball hit the top post and went in.

Actually, France was more or less doomed to lose the penalty, cuz Henry got substituted, and Zidane was sent off, so their 2 star-strikers were gone. How to win like that?

So it goes down in history: Italy is the World Cup Champion for 2006!!!

Ok dang tired... think i'll go nap an hour! Then must chiong S6 liao. Wah the whole tutorial by tonight. Die man!!!
