My Kinda Saturday

Yeah! Today is MY kind of Saturday!!!

Had a good rest last night. Took my time to wake up, breakfast etc. Then took my time to do QT. Then just slowly do my 2 math tutorials for monday. No stress, just do as much as I can..

I also found time to devour quite a bit of my library book---- Dan Brown's Deception Point. An absolute good read! Keeps you stuck to it for long periods of time, and today was my chance to enjoy it, uninterrupted.

Had dinner at East Coast Park, with popo and yeye. Yup good thing we went early at 6pm so that we could find a place to sit. Half an hour later, and we would be snatching places already! Oh and the place that we had got lots of sea breeze. Shiok!

So disappointing! My favourite prawn mee stall closed already! Couldn't find the old man and his wife there. Hmm guessed they decided to retire. Yeah think they deserve a break, cuz mum and dad have been seeing them ever since I was in mum's tummy. ;)

Tried the wanton mee. Not bad lah.. Laksa from the old Roxy Theatre quite nice and thick too. Still, the old joy of eating a good bowl of dry prawn mee, together with oh luak, would be lost forever.......

Took a walk to look at the cable ski thing at the lagoon. Quite cool yeah? Just ski round and round and round and round. Studied how the dispatch and retract systems worked. Quite a simple mechanism lah really...

Sad thing is, the only few people using it were mainly ang mohs, with a few locals here and there. Other than that, no one else!! Think this thing is a real white elephant. Where;s the white elephant placards?

While walking back to the carpark, we saw this lone F-16 fighter jet hovering above us slowly, then it fired its boosters suddenly. Mum told me that it could have been a spare jet f0r the NE show at the Nat'l Stadium( you know the ndp for p5 kids?) , just in case some plane screw up, then this jet can take over.

Likewise, we also saw this chinook carrying the Singapore Flag near the CBD skyline. So nice view. Mum also said that they also had 2 chinooks, each with a flag. both would fly together until they reached the National Stadium. Then one would move in, the other just hover outside... Simple back up yeah?

To end of this sat, played bomberman with martin. trashed him like anything man... Haha noob ;p
